The Closets We Keep

Ten artists. Ten shipping containers. One night in November 2026.

The Closets We Keep is an immersive outdoor art experience produced by OUT Arts & Culture in St. Petersburg, Florida. Visitors walk through ten transformed shipping containers — each one a different artist's vision of the closet: the spaces we hide in, come out of, and carry with us long after the door swings open.

About the Experience

Each 8-foot shipping container becomes a fully realized world. Visitors step inside one at a time, spending a few minutes alone with the work before moving to the next. The experience is designed to be intimate, honest, and unforgettable.

Every installation includes an audio experience created by the artist.

The event takes place over one night in November 2026 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Tickets available via Givebutter. Reservation information coming soon.

For Artists

Selected artists receive a $750 stipend and up to $500 in materials support. No immersive installation experience required — strong ideas and honest points of view are what matter most.
